'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Broken Record For Brown

Manager Phil Brown has said it's disappointing to find himself repeating himself following the draw with Carlisle yesterday.

Speaking to the Official Site following the one all draw, Brown admitted that ahead of the game he would've probably been happy with a point, but with how it played out again we wasted so many chances we really should've come away with all three points.

'I am finding that I'm repeating myself and it has been the case three times this season where we were the better team but couldn't take the chances. Against Walsall, Wimbledon and Carlisle we've not won any of the three but been the better team.'

Brown says he really needs to sit down and look at things fresh and assess things to work out why we are creating good chances but not putting them away, because we need to sort that out and change our luck in and around the penalty box.

He also added that really he wasn't happy again with how we started the game, as seemingly once more we only actually woke up once we had conceded, adding that although he's pleased with the way the players are reacting to going behind, the bottom line is we should be starting matches in the vein and giving ourselves far more of a chance to take the victory.

With no midweek fixture, at least the gaffer has a full week now to do that assessment and hopefully we can get more on track when we face Plymouth next weekend.
