Selection Headache Pleased Brown

Manager Phil Brown has said he's pleased to be going into the season opener on Saturday against Accrington Stanley with a selection dilemma.

Michael Timlin remains the only player that Brown cannot call upon for the game and speaking to the Official Site Brown said that this meant he had some tough decisions to make for our League Two kick off.

'It's a very welcome problem for any manager. There will be some disappointed faces on Saturday, but there will also be XI very happy ones. It will be up to them to prove they are good enough to stay in the team and keep their place for the Stevenage game the following weekend.'

Brown says he's likely to really change the team around for the Walsall cup encounter, as that will give those not playing a run out and chance to impress because he's been pleased with everyone in pre season and in many ways it will be a shame to leave out people who are in good form as well but he can obviously only select so many.

'I know whichever eleven start the game will give it everything they've got. It will be great, as manager, to be able to look at the bench and see plenty of quality on there to come on and have an impact in the game.'

Whilst he hasn't given any clues about the team itself, he does add we'll be going to Accrington looking to attack and looking to take all three points so we won't be setting up 352, but a 442/433 option is likely.

Would always rather a selection headache than too few to select from, good position for Brown to be in isn't it.
