Brown - Raring To Go For The Games Now

Manager Phil Brown has said that after a fantastic week's training at our Spanish training camp, he feels the players are absolutely raring to get back on the pitch now.

Our five trip has proven to be very productive fitness wise and bonding wise, and the team returned today for the game tomorrow against Great Wakering Rovers.

With players set for a 45 minute run out each, Brown has told the Official Site that he now feels everybody is in the right shape physically and mentally to really dust off the pitch cobwebs and get back to playing action.

'The boys are in great shape. People always talk about peaking too early but it's good to be ahead of the game in my opinion and we certainly are. They could probably go for longer than 45 minutes, but we're gradually building up towards that and everyone will get some game time.'

Brown goes on to confirm that tomorrow he will be putting out a different side in each half to make the most of the fixture, and there will be some young lads and trialists involved alongside the first team, but he'll be looking for a similar strength in each half so it's bound to be a good mix in each side.

'The younger lads have done superbly well since the start of pre season, they are all looking forward to having that chance to shine. during training they haven't looked out of place one bit. Ellis Brown has also come in and done well just getting on with his work.'

Following our two weeks of pre season training now, Brown is also pleased to see that we still have a clean bill of health in the team with nobody picking up any injuries or light strains, inspite of how hard they have been working.
