End Of The Road For Freddy?

End Of The Road For Freddy?

Freddy Eastwood's career could come to an end with him admitting in an interview with the Echo that he's considering his future after he was allowed to leave Southend with Phil Brown deciding to release him.

If Eastwood had been offered a new deal, which would've been on reduced terms, he also admitted that it wouldn't have been definite that he would've stayed. It wouldn't have been the reduced money that decided that, as that isn't an issue for him these days, it's more about his appetite for the game it seems.

The implication is that the 30 year old isn't entirely sure if he wants to keep playing even if he feels physically that he could. He'll take some time off now and see what comes his way, if it's something that appeals then it's not certain he won't carry on but it's not looking as though he's that interested at the moment.

Whatever Freddy decides his status as a Southend legend is secured.
