Brown Looking For One Final Push

Manager Phil Brown has called on the players and the fans to have one last big final push this season when we face Burton Albion this Saturday as the 'regular' season comes to an end.

With our play off place secured, Brown is looking for us to really gain some momentum going into the play off push and a win over Burton could potentially result in us having home advantage in the second leg which could be a massive bonus for us.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

'It's been a good season so far, but we want to make it a great season and we want to end the regular season on a high. It's a big game against Burton Albion because it's one of the sides we could face in the play offs and we'd like to put a marker down. It's important we have a big crowd at Roots Hall because it's a chance for us to lift ourselves into fifth place in the table.'

Brown goes on to say that ideally in the play offs you always want home advantage for the second leg, because irrespective of the first leg, if you are winning the crowd can drive you on to keep or increase the lead, and if losing, the crowd can obviously help drive you on for a fightback.

'The support has been superb all season and I'm sure it will be again on Saturday. If you haven't got a ticket yet, please do come along and support the lads. It's be great to end the regular campaign with a positive display, and the three points!'
