High Flying Fleetwood Come To Roots Hall

High Flying Fleetwood Come To Roots Hall

Southend haven't exactly enjoyed the success that it was hoped moving some games to a Friday night at Roots Hall was hoped would be the case.

Perhaps a few extra punters have come through the gates, as was also hoped, but the results haven't gone as planned.

The Shrimpers have another chance of Friday night glory at Roots Hall tonight when highflying Fleetwood come to town...

Rob Kiernan came in on loan last week and came into the side to play alongside Mark Phillips in defence, so they'll be hoping to keep their places?

However, with both Luke Prosser (suspension) and Adam Thompson (international duty) available again it's hard to look past these two so Phil Brown has a bit of a selection quandary to ponder.

Alas it's better to have options than to be stretched isn't it!

Fleetwood know that a win will take them top of league two so if they ever needed an incentive they've got it, but we'll be looking to prove that we can hold our own against the very best in this league.

It would be naïve to think that a win is a give for the Shrimpers, then again that it was for Fleetwood too, but the visitors would be the favourites but I have this feeling it could end as a draw?
