Two-Year Deal On The Table
Michael Timlin has a two-year contract on the table waiting for him; in the meantime a "short-term" deal has been signed to see him start the season with Southend.
The midfielder made his return from injury with a 15-minute cameo against Real Madrid C on Thursday and following this return the short-term deal has been signed with the view to this two-year deal being signed to follow.
Timlin has to prove his fitness, and that he's fully recovered from his leg break, which when (and not if) he does he'll pen that two-year deal.
He's an important player to the Shrimpers so getting him secured is a big boost going into the season.
