No Show Means No Stay?

No Show Means No Stay?

Southend looked as though they would have to do without Sean Clohessy, Gavin Tomlin and Barry Corr this season.

None were in attendance when pre-season training kicked-off and Phil Brown, as he told The Echo, wasn't expected to see any of them again.

Clohessy has been in demand since his Player of the Season efforts alerted many a side, especially with his contract up. Having ended the season as join-top scorer Tomlin was in the same boat.

Corr, looked to be getting back to his best following a long-term injury, but was linked with Burton. However the Irishman has since agreed a new deal to stay at Roots Hall.

It's disappointing to see them leave (well Corr isn't now) but if they don't want to be a part of things at Roots Hall going forward you have to move on and Brown will find players that do.
