Prosser Turns Down Contract Offer

Luke Prosser, at this stage, looks to be heading out of Roots Hall after turning down a new contract offer.

The 25-year-old defender is someone that Phil Brown is keen to keep at Southend but the initial contract presented to Prosser was deemed unacceptable.

A departure isn't nailed on yet with Brown revealing that further talks will take place with him and his agent and he remains hopeful, that such is the way with contract negotiations, that a compromise can be reached.
