Club Keen On Old Boys Return?

Anthony Grant, having left Southend last summer, could be in line to make a return to Roots Hall this summer?

Grant almost came back after his release anyway, but eventually ended up with Stevenage. However the 25-year-old has been "made available for transfer" and this has seen reports that the midfielder is someone that Phil Brown in keen to recruit.

That old chestnut of a "source close to the club" has told The Echo that The Shrimpers boss is "definitely one that's being looked at."

Any transfer activity at Roots Hall is being put on the back burner at present due to the transfer embargo in place.
