Pinnock Signs Two-Year Deal

Pinnock Signs Two-Year Deal

Mitchell Pinnock is one of the young players that Southend have high hopes for, with his future now secured with the signing of his first professional contract.

An offer was made to the teenager, with him now signing a two-year deal.

Pinnock, as he told the official website, is now looking forward to "making an impression" next season: He said: 'I'm delighted to have signed my first professional contract here at Southend, I'm just now looking forward to kicking on and making an impression this season.

'I'd like to thank all the staff in the youth department who have helped me to develop my game over the years and earn this contract.

'Having that little taste of what the first team is like towards the end of the season has made me even hungrier for success. I'm already looking forward to the start of pre-season.'

The winger has been with Southend since the age of 15 when he joined the club following his release by Arsenal, with him making his Shrimpers debut at the tail end of last season.
