Former Shrimper Released
Former Southend man Mark Gower's time as a Premier League player has ended following an exit from Swansea.
The midfielder could still be snapped up by another Premier League side, however at 34 it's unlikely that this will be the case so Gower is likely to be playing outside the topflight again from next season onwards?
Gower ended the season on loan with Championship outfit Charlton so they could look to sign him permanently?
I'd imagine that many would welcome him back to Roots Hall, having left for the Welsh side in 2008, but wouldn't expect this to happen.
During his time with Swansea he helped them climb up to the Premier League and had been a regular until Michael Laudrup became The Swans boss last summer.
