Five Shown Southend Door

Phil Brown has released five players at the end of their contracts with Bilel Mohsni, even if this was already expected, the most high profile of these to go.

Mohsni (who left Southend in mind a year ago really) leaves Roots Hall to be joined by Mickey Spillane, John Spicer, Alex Woodyard and Elliot Benyon having all been informed that they have no future at the club.

The Shrimpers' rebuilding process this summer will now soon begin.
