Shouldering The Blame

Bilel Mohsni, perhaps part of his continue bid to redeem himself, has held his hands up and is shouldering the blame for Rotherham's late equaliser at the weekend.

Having called for the ball the Frenchman then missed it and this, as he told The Echo, allowed Southend's promotion rivals to steal a march and Johnny Mullins to force home the equaliser, he said: 'It was disappointing to let the goal in right at the end and it was my fault too.

'When the ball was in the air I called for it, but because I was tired I didn't jump as high as I thought I would and ended up missing the ball.

'After that it was hard for the players behind me to react in time and it was horrible when their player put it in because we wanted and needed three points not one.'

Nice to see Mohsni accepting responsibility, however fact of the matter is you win and lose as a team so it's a team mistake to have allowed The Millers in for their late leveller.
