Southend were denied a draw at Roots Hall on Tuesday night by a last gasp Burton winner.
When you are forced to play virtually the entire match with 10-men it's going to be tough to get anything, and this is what Southend had to do with John Spicer shown a straight red with barely ten-minutes on the clock.
The hosts managed to hold The Brewers until injury-time at the end of the match when Jacques Maghoma (90+1) drove home a 30-yard freekick to give Burton a 1-0 win.
