The Shrimpers v Burton

2nd October 2012
19:45
Roots Hall

Southend entertain in-form Burton at Roots Hall on Tuesday night, both sides know victory will move them right into the automatic/play-off mix in league two.

Barry Corr (suspension) sits out for Southend after they decided not to appeal his sending off, this will be the first of his three-match ban.

Fitness tests were failed by Paul Smith (concussion), Mark Phillips and Gavin Tomlin (both groin) at the weekend; if they can prove their fitness this time they'll be included in the squad and probably starting XI.

Burton's Calvin Zola (hamstring) is a doubt, with "a late decision" being made over the striker after he limped out of the weekend game with Northampton.

Billy Kee will be hoping to return to the starting XI with loanee debutants at the weekend, Rob Kiernan and Luke Rooney, expected to keep their places.
