Cheltenham 1-3 Shrimpers

15th Sept 2012
15:00
Whaddon Road

Southend came from behind to secure another win, and keep their good run going, at Cheltenham on Saturday afternoon.

Jermaine McGlashan (15) got Cheltenham off to a fine start when he opened the scoring early on, but Southend made sure they went into the half time break level when Sean Clohessy (44) equalised just before the break.

Shortly after the break Britt Assombalonga (49) continued his fine early season form to put The Shrimpers ahead with Mark Phillips (52) soon adding another to round off a 3-1 win.
